The Loan Processing Assistant is a full-time, on-site role located in Mount Pleasant, SC. This role supports the loan processing team by organizing and reviewing loan documents, ensuring complete and accurate files, and maintaining up-to-date records within internal systems. The Loan Processing Assistant communicates with loan officers, underwriters, borrowers, and third parties to obtain required documentation and clarify outstanding conditions. Responsibilities include tracking loan status, preparing files for underwriting, assisting with compliance checks, and helping to meet closing deadlines.
The role also involves responding to inquiries, resolving minor issues, and contributing to a smooth and efficient mortgage loan process. In addition, the role requires marketing support to the loan officers for social media and client/partner appreciation.
Basic knowledge
- of the lending process, with the ability to support processing activities.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with borrowers, team members, and third-party partners.
- High attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office and loan origination or processing systems; ability to learn new software quickly.
- Ability to work on-site in Mount Pleasant, SC, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Prior experience in mortgage, banking, or financial services is not required, but preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is a plus
