Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist for an outpatient clinic setting, requiring 2+ years of MRI experience and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification.

• Outpatient clinic setting in an MRI department
• Day shift schedule of 5x8-hour shifts, 11:30 AM–8:00 PM Monday–Friday, with some weeks including a Saturday shift (8:00 AM–4:00 PM) in place of one weekday shift
• No on-call requirement
• May float to West Ashley and Mt. Pleasant facilities as needed
• Charting via Epic
• No holiday coverage required
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized
• Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on manager and unit needs
• Online orientation modules are completed prior to the start of the assignment
• Teal top and black pants scrubs required
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September

• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience required
• Current BLS (AHA) and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
• SC state license is not required for this position — license required if applicable
• Radiation badge required; must be provided by the traveler's agency prior to start
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
