What We Offer
To coordinate and assist the provider to ensure safe, quality and cost‑effective service and care for the people within the practice population.
What We're Looking For- Education:
High School Diploma or GED required. Must be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program; curriculum must include pharmacology and medication administration. Certification/registry must be obtained by the last day of the sixth month of hire, and an education agreement signed. Accepted certifications/registries: CMA (American Association of Medical Assistants), CCMA (National Health Career Association), RMA (American Medical Technologists, American Registry of Medical Assistants, National Center for Competency Testing, National Association for Health Professionals, American Allied Health), ARMA (American Registry of Medical Assistants).
Alternative work experience: supervised medical assistant for minimum 1 year (NHA, NHCWA) within last 3 years, 2 years (NCCT, NAHP) within last 7 years, 3 years (ARMA) within last 7 years, 5 years (AMT) within last 7 years (no more than 2 years as instructor). Or graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Experience must include both clinical (including medication administration) and administrative duties. - Experience:
Previous work in a medical office preferred. - Licensure/Certification:
Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA required. Current state driver’s license (palliative care only) required. Refer to Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096. - Additional Skills (required):
Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
