The client is seeking an experienced Ignition SCADA/MES Deployment & Validation Engineer to support the deployment, commissioning, integration, testing, and production readiness of an Ignition-based SCADA/MES solution within a manufacturing environment.

This role is primarily remote; however, regular travel to manufacturing facilities is required for deployment, commissioning, validation, Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), go-live activities, and hypercare support.

• Approximately 2 trips per month
• Each trip typically lasts one full work week
• Travel generally occurs every other week
• Occasional back-to-back travel may be required based on project needs

The selected consultant will ensure the successful transition of the Ignition solution from test environments into a validated, production‑ready system by verifying installations, validating integrations, troubleshooting issues, supporting testing activities, and documenting system performance.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Ignition SCADA/MES Engineer with strong deployment, validation, testing, and manufacturing systems expertise. The role requires a blend of technical SCADA/MES knowledge, industrial connectivity experience, database validation skills, and hands‑on support during commissioning and go‑live activities across manufacturing environments.

• Deploy Ignition Gateway, Perspective clients, projects, tags, scripts, and database connections in production environments
• Assist with production cutover and rollback planning

• Validate end-to-end data flow from PLCs and plant systems through Ignition into:
  • Historians
  • MES databases
  • Alarms
  • Reports
• Execute:
  • Integration Testing
  • System Testing
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to:
  • OPC UA connectivity
  • MQTT communications
  • PLC integrations
  • Database connectivity
  • Security configurations
  • Network communications
• Support go‑live and hypercare activities

• Record:
  • Test results
  • Remediation actions
  • Stakeholder approvals
• Maintain testing and traceability documentation

• Verify production tracking accuracy
• Confirm reporting outputs and operational readiness
• Coordinate with operations, engineering, IT, controls, and vendor teams

The consultant will be responsible for delivering:

• Ignition Gateway and Perspective deployment in production environments
• End-to-end system validation and testing
• Site Acceptance Testing documentation
• Verification of:
  • Tags
  • Alarms
  • Scripts
  • Database connections
• Troubleshooting and remediation support
• Production cutover and go‑live readiness activities
• Testing and validation documentation
• Manufacturing workflow validation

Services will be considered successfully completed when:

• Ignition components are fully deployed and operational
• End-to-end data flow is validated across all required systems
• Integration, system, and UAT testing are completed and documented
• Site Acceptance Testing is successfully completed
• Critical defects are resolved or formally accepted
• Tag configuration, alarming, scripting, and security settings are verified
• Database integrity and data accuracy are validated
• Manufacturing workflows and operational reporting are confirmed
• Go-live readiness is approved
• Hypercare planning is completed
• Validation evidence and documentation are delivered
• System is deemed production-ready by the client
