A global, multi-national industrial manufacturer is seeking a Regional Category Manager to lead sourcing and supplier strategy for a portfolio of fabricated mechanical components across North America. This organization operates in a highly engineered, safety-critical environment and offers strong global collaboration within a matrixed supply chain structure.
This role will own the end-to-end category strategy at the regional level, aligning with global procurement teams while supporting local manufacturing and operational needs. Responsibilities include strategic sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and driving supplier performance across cost, quality, and delivery. The position plays a key role in ensuring supply continuity while identifying opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
Day-to-day, this individual will partner closely with engineering, operations, and quality teams to support production, resolve supplier challenges, and contribute to new product introduction and value engineering initiatives. They will also lead supplier performance improvement efforts and implement risk mitigation strategies across the supply base.
This is a high-visibility role with ownership over a critical mechanical category, offering the opportunity to influence both regional execution and broader global strategy. Ideal candidates bring 8+ years of experience in procurement or category management within a complex manufacturing environment, along with strong negotiation skills and the ability to operate cross-functionally.
