About the RolePerforms tasks associated with the mining and reclaiming of raw materials in the Quarry process area.
What You'll Accomplish- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments.
- Assess risks before starting tasks, perform only authorized activities, and utilize appropriate PPE.
- Exercise and encourage core values, including self‑development and coaching others by inspiration and empowerment.
- Follow all safety procedures, check for safety hazards, and take corrective action to eliminate hazards.
- Focus on and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Adhere to company environmental policies.
- Operate small loader, skidsteer, forklift and other light industrial equipment.
- Interpret and understand readings on instrumentation panels.
- Participate in formal and on‑the‑job training programs to acquire/broaden both technical and non‑technical job skills; participate in cross‑training activities.
- Interact with members of Process Areas on a regular basis to gather or communicate information, solve problems, etc.
- Ensure product quality and quantity within assigned area.
- Inspect equipment assigned each shift in accordance with department policy.
- Assist with preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment.
- Participate in team meetings.
- Apply skills and perform work in other positions as assigned.
- Work rotating shift schedule and weekends as assigned.
Preferred Education: High School diploma / GED
Required
Work Experience:
1–5 years heavy mobile equipment experience
- Ability to operate or train on large dozers, trackhoes, haul trucks and loaders is preferred.
- 1–2 years industrial experience is required.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
