Job Purpose/

Summary:

The Poly Molder Operator is responsible for operat ing molding machines, producing rubber panels within specifications.

Places insert into molding machine and starts cycle of machine . Runs first piece, gets approval and begins run operations .

Works between multiple molding machines simultaneously.

Physically removes panel from machine and loads machine with next insert.

Trims off flash and finishes part to quality standards . Assure proper labeling of all required .

Scans finished panel barcodes into computer .

Must inspect die for tool damage before returning to tool room.

Monitors and records all scrap products , places in scrap cart .

Maintains 5s standards and safety practices in work area.

Perform related duties as required .

High school or GED diploma.

1-2 years’ work experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in injection molding

Calculate measurements

Use shop tools.

Accountable for the quality of panels produced and meeting daily production goals.

Little responsibility for the safety of others.

The job is performed in a manufacturing facility where dust and noise are prevalent .

Position is responsible for working with hand tools, molding machines and gauges.

Uses independent judgement and discretion based upon the employee’s experience in the position and knowledge of the products, equipment, and services.

Moderate levels of stress may be experienced in the performance of the job.

Position is performed in a f actory environment (non-conditioned).
