Description
Position SummaryOur shipping clerks receive parts to print; stock them in preferred locations, pick parts from picklist and prepare them for shipment.
General Duties- Pick, pack, and prepare the product for shipment in an efficient manner ensuring that the correct quantity type of product is picked, packed, and prepared for shipment
- Pick parts ensuring the quantity and part match the order
- Prepare product for shipment by loading and sealing boxes
- Weigh boxes and prepare labels when necessary
- Load, Unload, Lift, Lower, and Stage pallets, tubs, and other products (palletized and non-palletized)
- Perform light quality control and report quality variances
- Input and Retrieve data to assigned bar code units
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must pass company lift truck certification
- Experience running a forklift is preferred
- Must possess basic computer skills
- Must work well independently and in a team situation
- Must be quality and safety-oriented
- Must have high attention to detail and a sense of urgency
- Ability to compute basic mathematics
- Ability to ready, comprehend, follow and apply work instructions and procedures
- Accurate problem identification and solving skills are preferred
Manufacturing Environment:
- Standing, sitting, and walking for extended periods of time
- Wearing appropriate PPE and following safety procedures
- May require lifting, pushing, pulling of objects.
- Varying temperatures, depending upon season and machining
