Position: CVICU Registered Nurse in Mount Pleasant, SC
An exceptional opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with pediatric cardiac intensive care expertise to contribute to a nationally recognized pediatric cardiology ICU in Mount Pleasant, SC. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current SC or Multi-State Compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric cardiac ICU experience
• Certified in PALS and BLS (American Heart Association certificates only)
• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD) highly desirable
• Pediatric and cardiovascular nursing expertise
• First-time pediatric cardiac ICU nurses with qualifying experience are welcome

Schedule/Hours:

• Night shift: 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts within a 4-week schedule, including holiday rotations
• Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 dependent on acuity
• Ability to float within scope as needed

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert nursing care for children with complex congenital and acquired heart disease
• Care for patients undergoing cardiac surgery, heart transplant, and advanced therapies such as ECMO and CRRT
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including respiratory therapists, pediatric pharmacists, and dietitians
• Monitor all patients continuously using advanced monitoring technology
• Support comprehensive cardiac and ventilatory therapies and deliver palliative care when indicated
