Position Type: 12 week seasonal contract
Work Schedule:
Three 12 hour shifts with call
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the healthcare needs of assigned patients
- Delivering care to patients across the lifespan, from infants to geriatrics, unless otherwise specified
- Collaborating closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to meet hospital and unit goals
- Delivering care in accordance with established standards and departmental guidelines
- Flexibility to float to other comparable nursing units as needed
Education:
4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license.
In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
Experience:
One year relevant experience, preferred.
Licensure/Certification :
Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
Successful completion of the nursing service orientation program
Completion of IV Therapy training or demonstration of IV competency within one year
Annual participation in Skills Fair and completion of required competency checklists
Maintains department-specific competencies and/or certifications
BCLS and ACLS certifications required at hire
Advanced certification in specialty field and/or active membership in professional organizations encourage
