This position requires handling cash transactions accurately, operating the cash register and point of sale systems, and providing friendly and professional customer service. The Cashier is also responsible for maintaining a clean and organized checkout area, performing light janitorial duties, and assisting with inventory management when necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in cashiering or retail customer service preferred.
• Basic math skills and ability to handle cash accurately.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions and stand for extended periods.
• Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with point of sale (POS) systems and cash register operation.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Familiarity with janitorial duties and maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Operate cash registers and point of sale systems to process customer purchases accurately and efficiently.

• Provide courteous and helpful customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving minor issues promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, including performing janitorial duties as needed.
• Assist with lifting and carrying heavy items to support stock replenishment and store operations.
• Answer phone calls professionally, providing information or directing calls appropriately.
• Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support store needs.
