Industries Plant Supervisor Lee Correctional Inst, Bishopville; LEE Level 3

Job Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, responsible for the efficient operation of an industry program within a correctional setting for a potential multishift operation.
• Supervise employee/inmate workers.
• Screen, select, train and evaluate assigned personnel.
• Provide rehabilitation and self‑improvement opportunities for inmates.
• Supervise activity within manufacturing operation.
• Responsible for the security of the workplace and to keep the area safe for inmates, employees and the public.
• Serve as correctional officer in maintaining internal security.
• Supervise and perform administrative functions as assigned or required.
• Serve as plant manager when needed.
• Schedule subject to change.

Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

• A high school diploma and relevant program experience.
• A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience.
