HVAC Service Technician; Commercial​/Industrial

National Mechanical Experts Inc. is looking for a dynamic, hardworking, HVAC Service Technician to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina.

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, safety‑focused, and committed to delivering high‑quality work while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Service, Repairs & Maintenance

• Install, troubleshoot, service and repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment and systems
• Respond to emergency service calls and minimize system downtime
• Maintain appropriate vehicle inventory to complete repairs efficiently
• Complete maintenance logs and job documentation accurately and on time
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding work performed, system conditions, and recommendations
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and identify potential service needs
• Ensure all work meets company standards, manufacturer guidelines, and applicable codes

Health & Safety

• Follow all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and customer site requirements
• Identify and address jobsite safety hazards and report concerns as needed
• Properly use and maintain all required PPE and safety equipment
• Perform regular vehicle and equipment safety inspections
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environments at all times

Training & Development

• Support and mentor apprentices and junior technicians in the field
• Assist with on‑the‑job training related to technical skills and safety practices
• Participate in required safety and technical training programs
• Stay current on new equipment, technology, and industry standards

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Trade school training or equivalent experience preferred
• Universal EPA Certification required
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
