INSULATOR - Austin Industrial - Eastover, SC

Overview

Austin Industrial provides premier self-perform maintenance, construction, and soft craft service to leading industrial companies across the U.S. We offer single-source solutions to customers in the oil, gas, chemical, food, agriculture, power, and manufacturing industries.

• Read blueprints and select required insulation material.
• Work at heights with appropriate safety measures.
• Apply adhesives to insulation material and attach metal fasteners as needed.
• Determine the amounts and select required insulation material (sheet, tubular, or roll) such as fiberglass, foam, Styrofoam, cork, and urethane based on heat retention, location, surface, shape, and equipment use.
• Measure and cut insulation material to size using a tape measure and hand tools (saw, knife, or scissors).
• Fit, wrap, or attach insulation material around or to structures following blueprint specifications.
• Cover or seal insulation with preformed plastic covers, canvas strips, sealant, or tape to secure insulation, using staple gun, trowel, paintbrush, or caulking gun.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience – 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.
