Overview
As an Experienced Auto Glass Technician, you’ll serve on the front line of the Safelite customer experience, bringing advanced technical expertise and ownership to every job. This role is ideal for a highly skilled technician who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional service. You will leverage industry knowledge, along with Safelite’s cutting-edge tools, training, and technology, to perform complex repairs, replacements, and recalibrations—both in-shop and through our Mobile Glass Shop services.
Whatyou’ll do
- Provide all vehicle glass repair and replacement services at a Safelite Shop or Mobile Glass Shop, focusing on safety, quality and exceptional customer service.
- Clean customer vehicles after every job.
- Recalibrating automotive safety systems, including troubleshooting and completing diagnostic testing.
- Proficiently operate Safelite’s tools and technologies, including True Seal®, Ezi-Wire™, Glass Table System (GTS), chemicals (as required by the Safelite Way of Fitting), work order and customer administration systems, and Safelite's handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.
- Safely operate company and customer vehicles throughout the workday.
- Communicate with all scheduled customers in-person, via text, and on the phone; present, promote and sell Safelite promotional items and services to customers.
- Performs other duties as assigned and complies with all policies and standards.

- Paid training and all tools and resources needed to be successful.
- High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent; 2+ years of proven Auto Glass Technician experience (preferred).
- Valid state-issued driver’s license; ability to operate a company vehicle as required by law and policy.
- Safelite Safe Tech certification (required).
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds and up to 50 pounds occasionally; ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively; ability to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with laws, with in-cab safety camera monitoring as applicable.
- Professionalism and passion for delivering outstanding customer service and exceeding expectations.
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions and temperatures; ability to work with chemicals per the Safelite process.
- Flexibility to work scheduled days with variable start and end times; ability to read, write and interpret English; strong oral and written communication; maintain a professional appearance per company policies.
- Ability to perform recalibrations using computerized diagnostic tools; strong problem-solving skills, both independently and collaboratively.
