Apprentice Electrician

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Apprentice Electrician in Mt pleasant, SC. The Apprentice Electrician will support the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems under the guidance of senior electricians for projects in Mt Pleasant, SC. The ideal candidate is a motivated individual with a strong desire to learn the electrical trade while maintaining high safety standards on active construction sites.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20 to $26 Per Hour BOE

• Assist in the installation, bending, and removal of conduit to accommodate wiring needs.
• Help pull electrical wiring through conduit and assist in connections to circuit breakers and outlets.
• Support the installation and maintenance of lighting fixtures, electrical panels, and transformers.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly storing tools and materials.
• Follow instructions from Journeymen or Lead Electricians to ensure work meets project specifications.
• Assist in manual digging and back-filling of holes or trenches for electrical installations.
• Learn to interpret basic electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Perform general labor tasks as required to support the electrical team and project timelines.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA safety standards and site protocols.

• Previous experience in construction or an entry-level background in electrical work preferred.
• Possession of basic hand tools and necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites in Mt Pleasant, SC.
• Proven record of punctuality and dependability in a professional environment.
• Ability to take direction and work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong willingness to learn the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and trade techniques.

• Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and poles.
• Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
• Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions including extreme hot and cold temperatures.
• Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
• Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, walk, and sit for long periods of time.
• Must be physically capable of manually digging and back-filling holes and trenches.
• Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 80 lbs.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $20 to $26 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
