Transportation Supervisor

• Coordinate and handle a variety of transportation activities
• Supervise day-to-day transportation operations
• Strive to meet or exceed customer expectations
• Act as a liaison for Transportation, Operations, carriers, vendors and customers
• Lead and supervise transportation staff, including training and evaluating employee performance
• Recommend or initiate hiring, promotions, transfers or disciplinary actions
• Perform routing, planning, updating and/or tracking of orders and shipments
• Analyze and resolve carrier performance and compliance issues
• Track and trace shipments to ensure on-time, accurate and satisfactory deliveries
• Provide shipment updates as needed
• Investigate and resolve issues submitted by customers, carriers and/or clients
• Provide follow-up and reporting as required
• Maintain and generate required reports
• Process, audit and file documentation

• 2 years of transportation or supply chain experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Windows applications
• Ability to create complex formulas in Excel
• Ability to lift objects up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to reach above the head, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
• Ability to tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
• Ability to work rotating days, 6:00pm–6:00am, 4 days on and 4 days off
• Selected candidate must work days for a period of time before permanently moving to night shift
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test if required after a conditional offer
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 1 year of supervisory experience preferred
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills with experience supervising, coaching and influencing employees preferred

Demonstrates expertise in transportation operations management, including routing, planning, and compliance analysis. Proven ability to lead and develop teams while ensuring customer satisfaction and timely delivery of shipments.
