Overview
Do you have experience in supply systems for a large agency or company? Are you interested in supervising and performing operations involved in storage, inspection, identification, and receipt of property? We are seeking a motivated supply professional to join our team.
This position is in Procurement – Warehouse Services at Headquarters, Blythewood, SC.
Responsibilities- Schedule the pick-ups and deliveries of excess property to align with a 7.5-hour workday.
- Operate a state vehicle for pick-up and delivery duties.
- Complete and file all forms related to the Excess Property Section (property transfers, turn-in documents / TIDs) with neat and orderly records management.
- Disposal of the Agency’s excess property following State Surplus guidelines and Agency guidelines.
- Process and prepare TIDs for disposal of the Agency’s excess property with accuracy.
- Collaborate with State Surplus to ensure transactions meet standards of both State Surplus and the Agency.
- Coordinate with outside contracted and non-contracted vendors for disposal of items designated as Junk by State Surplus.
- Work with Records Management to assist with pick-ups/deliveries of the Agency’s Records across Field Offices and Headquarters as needed.
- Receive, notify, decal, issue, inventory, and manage newly ordered IT equipment stored in the Warehouse under location “Warehouse IT Storage.”
- Perform other duties as required by the Warehouse Manager or Warehouse Assistant Manager.
- A high school diploma and work experience directly related to the area of employment.
- Knowledge of supply practices and inventory control procedures.
- Ability to plan and oversee the work of others.
- Ability to establish good working relationships within the Agency and with other Agencies and outside Vendors.
- Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to perform duties with discretion and make independent decisions as necessary.
- Ability to work with other divisions in the agency, other state agencies, and outside Vendors.
- Ability to bend, stoop and lift over 50 pounds.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Valid S.C. Driver's License with ability to drive 12 ft. to 22 ft. trucks and forklift/order picker.
- Overtime work and limited overnight travel may be required.
- The position authorizes operation of powered industrial trucks (e.g., forklift, order picker, electric pallet jack) and manual pallet jacks, manual push/pull carts, manual hand trucks and ladders.
- Agency-issued steel-toe footwear must be worn in the Warehouse floor area at all times.
- Work hours are 8:00 to 4:30.
