Warehouse Worker

Job Description

As a Warehouse Worker, you perform a mix of clerical and hands-on tasks that support receiving, warehousing, shipping, and small-package activity in a paint and coatings manufacturing environment. You accurately receive incoming goods both physically and in the system, maintain organized inventory and storage locations, and help ensure that outgoing orders are correct, properly labeled, and accompanied by the required documentation.

You move materials between logistics and production using forklifts and other material-handling equipment, support internal manufacturing flow, and follow established safety, quality, and Lean / 5S procedures to keep the logistics area clean, efficient, and compliant.

Responsibilities
  • Perform both clerical and hands-on warehouse tasks related to receiving, warehousing, packaging, shipping, and small-package handling.
  • Receive incoming goods accurately, checking physical product against documentation and entering receipts into SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Track inventory movements and storage locations in the system to maintain inventory integrity and prevent discrepancies.
  • Pull, stage, and verify orders for shipment, confirming that items, quantities, labels, and paperwork are correct and complete.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, documentation, and compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Transfer materials to and from production using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment to support internal material flow.
  • Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and condition and help resolve receiving and shipping issues, including wrong material, damaged goods, or paperwork errors.
  • Use RF scanners and inventory tools to record movements, perform counts, and maintain accurate warehouse records.
  • Work safely around paints, coatings, solvents, and other regulated materials, following PPE requirements, safety documents, and work instructions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized logistics area by following Lean / 5S principles and company housekeeping standards.
  • Adhere to safety requirements and company procedures, including proper use of respirators, gloves, and other safety gear when required.
  • Collaborate with external delivery and pickup partners to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments and meet daily logistics goals.
  • Support a process-driven, quality-first environment by following structured workflows and documentation requirements.
  • Work with limited supervision, managing your time effectively and meeting targeted goals for shipping, receiving, and material handling.
  • Perform repetitive but detail-oriented tasks with a high level of accuracy and consistency.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform other physical tasks necessary for warehouse operations.
  • Participate in training and follow work instructions, safety documents, and shipping paperwork to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Contribute to a team-based production floor, communicating with supervisors and coworkers to support smooth operations.
Essential Skills
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a logistics or warehouse environment preferred.
  • 2+ years of forklift experience preferred, including sit-down, stand-up, or multiple types.
  • Demonstrated experience in core warehouse and logistics functions such as shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling.
