Job Summary
Under the general supervision from the Municipal Court Administrator, the Municipal Court Clerk performs a wide variety of clerical duties in support of the Municipal Court including the initiation, processing, and maintenance of legal documents, correspondence, and statistics; coordination of the docket with the Municipal Judge, City Attorney and other attorneys; maintaining and monitoring all payment plans; receiving and posting payments for fines and bond;
and providing information and assistance to the public.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to communicate in conversational Spanish a benefit.
- Ability to think on your feet and handle stressful situations.
- Ability to be professional at all times.
- Ability to interpret and explain Municipal Court policies and procedures.
- Ability to work flexible and extended hours to accommodate City needs.
