We offer a supportive environment and incredible benefits.

About the Role

The Lead Forklift Operator plays a critical role in our shipping and warehouse operations. You'll be responsible for training new employees, managing daily loading activities, and ensuring all team members are following company procedures and safety policies. This position requires you to be a proactive problem-solver and a reliable point of contact for the team, reporting directly to the Assistant Shipping Manager.

You will also be responsible for covering for the Assistant Shipping Manager when they are absent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership & Training:
Train new employees and ensure the team is adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Operational Management:
Manage the loading of drop trailers, oversee the placement of finished goods inventory, and ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) procedures are followed.
  • Safety & Compliance:
Ensure all equipment is in safe working order and that forklift inspections are completed each shift.
  • Order Fulfillment:
Print sales orders, assist the team with picking, staging, and loading, and verify all loaded trailers before they leave the dock.
  • Inventory & Systems:
Effectively navigate our ERP/Inventory Management software and manage the receiving of various items.
  • Flexible Support:
Be available to work extended hours and meet call-in requirements as necessary.
Skills and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior warehouse and shipping experience.
  • Prior Management/Supervisor experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) and the ability to learn new software.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Experience operating both sit-down forklifts and reach trucks.
Working Conditions

This position operates in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment and may involve exposure to noise, dusty conditions, and varying temperatures. The role requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, stand and sit for extended periods, and work  will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

What We Offer

We believe in taking care of our employees. That's why we provide:

  • 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision benefits
  • Company-paid short-term and long-term disability, and life insurance
  • Overtime opportunities
  • 2 weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO) annually

If you're a proven leader ready to make a significant impact on our operations and team, we encourage you to apply today!
