Position Summary
LVNs work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians to provide basic bedside care to patients. They also assist in monitoring, observing, and communicating with patients and their families about medication, at-home care, and preventative lifestyle changes.
- Planning and managing patient care according to each patient’s needs
- Interviewing patients and recording their medical history
- Obtaining patient vital signs and escorting patients to their rooms
- Administering injections of medications
- Verifying that patient charts are updated promptly and accurately
- Observing and recording patients’ conditions and reactions to medications and treatments
- Adheres to and follows all patient experience initiatives
- On call duties required
- Reports to and departs from work on time and as scheduled
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Must be able to deal with stress while maintaining composure
- Follows and adheres to TRMC vaccine policy(s) mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
- At least one year of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Licensed Vocational Nurse, currently licensed to practice in the State of Texas required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) within 30 days of hire date required.

Movement and Environment details include varying percentages of time and conditions such as indoors, outdoors, noise level, and exposure to dust, chemicals, or fumes.
