The Maintenance Tech I performs installation, repair, and maintenance functions on TRMC equipment and facilities.

• Performs preventative maintenance as directed.
• Makes repairs using required tools.
• Assembles and disassembles equipment.
• Assists in the installation, repair, and removal of electrical circuits.
• Maintains the operation of the plumbing system and installs plumbing required in new areas or for new equipment.
• Makes repairs to the structure, walls, or ceilings of hospital buildings.
• Removes or constructs walls or partitions, doors, or cabinets.
• Uses caution in working with power tools, electricity, or in close proximity to power equipment that could cause serious injury.
• Demolishes walls where required.
• Removes cabinetry as required.
• Builds walls according to blueprints, drawing, and specifications.
• Installs drop ceilings, replaces ceiling tiles as needed.
• Helps maintain physical environment building compliance.
• Establishes radio contact with PBX/EMS dispatch.
• Adheres to and follows all patient experience initiatives.
• Reports to and departs from work on time and as scheduled.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Must be able to deal with stress while maintaining composure.
• Must be able to maintain and display a positive attitude.
• Follows and adheres to TRMC vaccine policy(s) mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

• Two years of experience as a mechanic or in grounds maintenance preferred.

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledgeable of equipment repair, electricity, plumbing, carpentry, and refrigeration preferred.

• Detail levels include Lifting/Carrying, Pushing/Pulling with varying pounds and time percentages as listed in the original description.
• Movement:
  Bend/Stoop/Twist, Crouch/Squat, Kneel/Crawl, Reach above/below shoulder, Repetitive arm/hand, Grasping, Squeezing, Climb Stairs, Walking on uneven and even surfaces.
• Environment:
  Indoors, Outdoors, Dusty, Extreme Heat, Excessive Noise, etc.
• Equipment:
  Motor Vehicles, Foot Pedals, Extreme Heat, Dusty, Excessive Noise.
• Work near:
  Machinery, Electricity, Sharps, Chemicals, Fumes, Heights.
• Vision:
  Depth Perception, < 20", Color Not Required, Peripheral Required.
• Endurance:
  Sit, Stand, Walk across 12-hour periods as applicable.
