SHIPPING SPECIALIST

Full Time Admin Support Wkr, Mount Pleasant, TX, US

Location:

Mount Pleasant, TX 75455

Shift &

Schedule:

Monday–Friday 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Responsibilities
  • Book all outbound loads by coordinating with dealers, brokers, and carriers to ensure timely shipments.
  • Schedule booked loads on the shipping calendar by site, maintaining accuracy and visibility across locations.
  • Assist in grouping and bundling loads to maximize efficiency and optimize freight costs.
  • Pick and pack loads from DFAB for shipment, ensuring accuracy and proper handling.
  • Create Bills of Lading (BOLs) and all required shipping documentation for drivers and outbound shipments.
  • Monitor freight movement using various systems to ensure on-time delivery and proactively resolve issues.
  • Prepare and analyze shipping documents, including rates, methods, and procedures for outbound materials.
  • Request and coordinate site-to-site transfers to support operational needs and production flow.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and shipping best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within shipping, logistics, and load planning.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills / Abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to monitor and maintain records and inventory.
Experience
  • DOT experience.
  • Understanding of Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements and other related safety policies and best practices.
