Role SummaryThe BAS Assistant Project Manager supports planning and execution of building automation and temperature-control projects. The position works closely with project leadership, engineering, field technicians, vendors and customers while developing toward broader project-management responsibility.
Key Responsibilities- Support BAS project planning and execution.
- Coordinate project schedules and field activities.
- Review drawings, specifications and controls sequences.
- Coordinate material procurement and deliveries.
- Track equipment and project documentation.
- Prepare and track RFIs and submittals.
- Assist with change-order documentation.
- Track budgets, costs and labor.
- Coordinate field technicians, vendors and subcontractors.
- Attend project meetings.
- Support commissioning, startup and turnover.
- Assist with punch lists and project closeout.
- Construction/project coordination experience or relevant education.
- Strong organization and time management.
- Ability to read construction drawings/specifications.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work regularly onsite.
- BAS or HVAC controls experience.
- Mechanical/electrical construction background.
- Bluebeam experience.
- Project procurement/documentation experience.
- Construction Management or Engineering degree.
- Accurate and timely project documentation.
- Milestones achieved according to schedule.
- Effective coordination between office and field.
- Reliable budget/cost tracking.
- Successful project closeout and turnover.
- Clear development path toward BAS Project Manager.
- Exposure to major data center work.
- Integrated BAS/MEPF environment.
