Building Automation HVAC Systems Project Manager (Mount Pleasant, WI)
Position Location: Rolling Meadows, IL – serves customers throughout greater Chicago, IL area.
The role supports projects across multiple sites. You will coordinate and deliver multiple, simultaneous building automation projects for critical institutions.
Responsibilities- Evaluate project specifications, drawings, and related documents to understand project intentions, establish comprehensive project schedules, and identify critical installation timelines.
- Oversee procurement of supplies and materials, actively participate in project cost reviews, and ensure financial efficiency.
- Assist the Operations Manager in contracting subcontractors, coordinate their activities to align with project scope, schedules, and fiscal requirements, and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
- Conduct orientations for project technicians, providing all necessary documentation such as scope of work, technical drawings, project contacts, and application-engineered diagrams.
- Track project resources and progress, document events impacting schedule, scope, and overall efficiency, and identify opportunities for project‑specific change orders.
- Manage project‑specific billing coordination with accounting team and Operations Manager, schedule commissioning resources, expedite return of mark‑ups for as‑built development, and ensure timely completion of project‑specific close‑out documentation.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or state‑recognized GED.
- On‑the‑job experience in project management within the HVAC controls industry.
- Ability to read and understand MEP drawings, specifications, electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams; prior exposure to industry‑standard communication protocols such as Ethernet, Modbus, and BACnet.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
- 21 years of age or older, valid driver’s license with limited violations, and eligibility to participate in Siemens fleet vehicle program.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on a perpetual basis without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years project management experience in the HVAC controls industry.
$75,684 – $129,744 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary.
Actual wage offered may vary based on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
