The Associate Project Manager supports all phases of electrical construction projects under the guidance of a senior-level Project Manager. This role provides hands‑on field experience and progressively expands responsibility across scheduling, estimating, procurement, customer relations, safety, waste elimination, and operational systems. The Associate Project Manager helps ensure projects are completed with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Planning, Scheduling, and Resource Management
  • Help define weekly project priorities, timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables.
  • Analyze and forecast key factors that impact project results to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Support the development of project programs, strategies, and supervisory plans.
  • Learn the scheduling process and assume scheduling responsibility for assigned projects.
  • Use estimating information to help manage labor and material costs effectively.
  • Coordinate manpower, resources, and tools across branches as needed.
  • Assist Project Managers with resource planning, tooling, permits, and related project needs.
Procurement, Billing, and Cost Management
  • Learn the procurement process and order materials for assigned projects.
  • Develop an understanding of billing and collections and assume responsibility for these processes on assigned projects.
  • Manage project billings accurately and in a timely manner.
Project Execution and Operations
  • Support the bidding process by reviewing estimates, proposal specifications, drawings, and takeoff information.
  • Manage assigned projects to meet customer expectations for scope, timeline, budget, and quality.
  • Support craft productivity, efficient use of materials and equipment, and overall contractual project performance.
Customer Relationships and Professional Growth
  • Work with Project Managers to develop and maintain customer relationships and deliver high-quality service that supports continued business.
  • Take prompt action to resolve customer concerns or complaints.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to grow, improve, and support the development of the broader team.
Safety, Hazard Recognition, and Elimination
  • Pre-plan daily work tasks and identify methods to eliminate hazards.
  • Observe work habits and potential hazards, and communicate concerns appropriately.
  • Uphold safety as the company’s top priority and support the goal of achieving zero accidents.
  • Promote open communication between field and office teams regarding safety concerns, suggestions, improvements, and PPE needs.
  • Complete required safety training in alignment with company expectations.
Qualifications And Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Building Science, or related discipline), or a related field.
  • Prior experience in contracting, engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of and experience with the electrical trade preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Work occurs in both office and job site environments and may require sitting, standing, walking, and travel to various work sites. Site visits may involve exposure to outdoor elements, noise, and other active construction conditions.
