Job Responsibilities

  • Determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results.
  • Conduct informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
  • Evaluate donor reactions as outlined in SOPs and follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies, including developing center physician standing orders and arranging donor transport to emergency care facilities.
  • Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical issues involving donor safety and eligibility.
  • Support the Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
  • Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation by occupational health/ER is required, following EHS guidance.
  • Act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats within the local community.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate-level education in a recognized nursing program that meets state requirements.
  • Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned (LPN or LVN).
  • Current CPR and AED certification.
  • Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
  • Completely finish the FDA‑approved training requirements for the Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
  • At least two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
Compensation & Benefits

U.S. hourly wage range: $25.60 - $35.20. The actual wage offered will depend on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location, and will comply with applicable minimum wage requirements.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short‑term incentives and a range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, well‑being benefits, up to 80 hours of sick time per year, and up to 120 hours of paid vacation for new hires.
