Position: Registered Nurse - (RN) - ICU

Job Summary

Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU – full time, 36 hours per week with three night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am, including weekend and holiday rotation. Located at Aurora Medical Center, Mount Pleasant. Pay range: $38.20–$57.30 per hour. Benefits eligible:

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive patient care for a 12‑bed ICU with an average census of six patients, maintaining a 1:2 nurse‑to‑patient ratio.
  • Coordinate care through the nursing process, ensuring safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Apply evidence‑based practice and clinical decision‑making to deliver high‑quality care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to create the safest patient environment and optimal experience.
  • Participate in and lead quality improvement and professional governance initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program and valid Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (recommended within six months of hire).
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (recommended within six months of hire).
  • Prior ICU or step‑down unit experience preferred.
  • Strong teamwork, confidence, and eagerness to learn.
  • Commitment to professional development and engagement in practice governance.
