American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position on night shift, requiring WI or compact RN license and 2 years of critical care experience.
Details- Level 3 Trauma ICU with 12 beds within a 60-bed facility
- General ICU patient population including stroke, sepsis, pneumonia, post-surgical, and CRRT cases
- No ECMO patients
- Patient ratios of 1:2, up to 1:3 for stepdown level patients
- 12-hour night shift, , 36 hours per week
- Weekend rotation every third weekend, with potential to be pulled for mid-week staffing needs
- Holiday coverage required every other holiday
- No on-call requirements
- May float to ICU holding areas or to Kenosha location, ICU only
- Support staff includes CNAs, charge nurse with reduced patient assignment, phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, RT, 24/7 hospitalist, onsite intensivist daily plus 24/7 EICU, and OT/PT/ST services
- Uses Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing system
- Active WI or compact RN license required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Experience with general ICU patient population including stroke, sepsis, pneumonia, post-surgical, and CRRT
- Experience with art lines, cardiac and other critical drips, vents, bipaps, trachs, and codes required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Candidate's middle name or initial, DOB, and last 4 of SSN required for consideration
- Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
- Provide direct patient care for critically ill ICU patients requiring advanced monitoring and interventions
- 2-shift unit orientation plus NEO required
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Free parking available
- First-time travelers welcome for day shift; night shift prefers travel experience but will consider candidates with several years of experience
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions
- Up to 2 shifts of time off can be approved within contract; additional requests require manager approval
- Former employees of Advocate Health or its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before being eligible for travel assignments
- COVID vaccine required
