Job SummaryJob Title: Meat Clerk
Reports To: Meat Manager
Role OverviewBe part of a team that delivers premium service and exceptional selection. In this role, you’ll provide top-notch service at the meat and seafood counter, restock and rotate product on the sales floor, and help keep our department running smoothly. We offer the freshest, most sustainable seafood selection and the Certified Angus Beef brand. You’ll assist with special orders, ensure food safety standards, and help create a department guests trust and return to again and again.
WhatYou’ll Do
As a Meat Clerk at Festival Foods, your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver Helpful Service: Provide exceptional guest service at the meat counter and on the sales floor, including fulfilling special orders and answering product questions.
- Maintain fresh, well-stocked displays: Inspect, rotate, and replenish meat products and supplies.
- Honor Commitments: Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
- Collaborate with the Team: Perform other duties as assigned.
To succeed as a Festival Foods Meat Clerk, you should have:
- Strong Communication
Skills:
Ability to engage with guests, leaders, and retail sales associates; strong written and verbal skills to work in a fast-paced environment. - Food Safety: Willingness to learn food safety standards, proper equipment usage (like slicers), and inventory practices.
- Ability to Multitask: Stay customer-service focused in a busy retail grocery environment.
- Safety Mindset: Understanding of safety and food safety practices and a commitment to following them; training and knowledge of equipment and procedures including slicers, proper lifting techniques, and related safety protocols.

Stand in place for extended periods; bend, stoop, and kneel regularly
Full range of upper body motion

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
This is a part-time or full-time position with varying shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
