Job DescriptionNTN Bearing Corporation is a premier bearing manufacturer serving automotive and industrial markets for over 100 years. We are seeking an experienced Automotive Aftermarket Regional Technical Trainer for our Schaumburg, IL office or Midwest region (Minnesota, Missouri, Kansas, North & South Dakota, Arkansas). The role requires 65–75% travel and focuses on delivering training programs to automotive technicians, service advisors, and aftermarket personnel.
MajorResponsibilities
- Customize Training Programs:
Tailor training programs to meet the specific needs and skill levels of diverse audiences. - Conduct Training Sessions:
Plan, organize, and conduct training sessions for independent repair shops, distributors, and trade events including classroom, workshop, webinar, and on‑site training. - Develop Training Materials:
Create engaging materials such as presentations, manuals, videos, and hands‑on exercises covering wheel hubs, bearings, seals, diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and product knowledge. - Maintain Training Records:
Keep detailed records of sessions, attendance, evaluations, and certifications; generate reports and analytics to assess effectiveness. - Provide Technical Support:
Offer troubleshooting guidance to trainees and customers on complex automotive systems, diagnostics, and product installations. - Stay Updated with Industry Trends:
Keep training materials current with the latest automotive technology, aftermarket products, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques.
- Automotive Technology or Mechanical Engineering degree, or related field; ASE certification required.
- 2+ years experience as an automotive technician, service advisor, or trainer in the aftermarket industry.
- In‑depth knowledge of wheel end systems, diagnostic tools, repair procedures, and aftermarket products.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 80% for on‑site training.
- Experience working with product development, marketing, sales, and customer support teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and learning management systems (LMS).
- Advanced knowledge of suspension, wheel bearing, and hub products.
- Self‑starter with ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast‑paced environments.
