Part‑time (20 hours per week) Rehabilitation Technician opening at the Mount Prospect Therapy Services location to assist patients recovering from sports‑based injuries.

A rehabilitation technician is under the general technician supervisor and management team at the site of employment. The main objectives of this position is to support the staff with a team‑oriented approach in delivering exceptional customer service and care with the goal of improving a patient’s overall quality of life.

• Provide excellent customer service and communication to therapy patients, therapists, physician staff, and clients in a fast paced orthopedic rehab office.
• Daily clinic maintenance: including but not limited to cleaning treatment tables and equipment, change out linen, stocking supplies.
• Keep exercise equipment in an orderly fashion and out of the way of patients to maintain safe conditions in the clinic.
• Daily, weekly and monthly checks of maintenance tasks to stay compliant with IBJI guidelines.
• Act as an extender to the therapists; assist clinicians with carrying out exercise programs for patients including set up on equipment and modalities.
• Communicate with therapist on any observations made during the patient’s exercise program.
• Take initiative in assisting clinicians with patient care.
• Print home exercise program for patients under the direction of the clinician.
• Inventory of both clinical and non-clinical materials.
• For clinics that utilize techs for front desk support, follow best practice procedures that involve clerical duties: including but not limited to checking in patients, scheduling appointments, taking co‑pays, scanning, answering the phone.
• Provide daily support to the rehab staff and management team.
• Follows HIPAA guidelines by protecting the patient’s identity.
• Ability to work with patients regardless of diagnosis, age, or background.
• Maintain a positive attitude in clinic.
• Demonstrates professionalism with prompt work attendance and flexibility with established work hours. 16. All other duties as assigned.

• Available a minimum of 20 hours per week
• High School Degree minimum required.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
• Detail oriented and demonstrates effective time management.
• Displays professional and effective writing and verbal communication skills.
• Skilled in Windows; MS Office;
  Email access.

$15 - $16.50/hour depending on experience.

Base salary may vary based on location, skills and relevant experience.
