Line Mechanic

Kelly is hiring Line Mechanics for a full-time opportunity with a growing manufacturing facility in Mount Prospect, IL. In this hands‑on role, you’ll help keep production equipment safe, reliable, and running efficiently through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.

$62k – $66k per year

• 1st shift: 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
• 2nd shift: 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m.

• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on production-line equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery to help minimize downtime.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and support safe production restarts.
• Work with robotics, PLCs, and high- and low-voltage systems.
• Read and interpret schematics and technical documentation.
• Fabricate, adjust, assemble, or replace machine components as needed.
• Clean machinery and maintain a safe, organized work area.
• Document maintenance activities, equipment issues, and parts used.
• Coordinate with production staff to support workflow and production goals.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical certification or an associate degree preferred.
• 2–7 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and industrial equipment repair (preferably within pharmaceutical or food manufacturing industries)
• Robotics and PLC experience.
• Familiarity with high- and low-voltage systems.
• Fabrication skills and ability to read schematics.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, safety awareness, and attention to detail.
• Own basic maintenance tools including: wrench sets, Allen key sets, voltmeter etc.
