The practice specializes in an array of services including, comprehensive functional eye exams for children and adults, specialty contact lenses, orthokeratology, myopia control, low vision, vision rehabilitation, dry eye, glaucoma, and special services for brain injuries, concussions, and strokes.

To support future business growth, the practice is looking to add an Optometrist to the team of seven employees.

Maple Lawn Eye Care Center uses state-of-the-art vision care technology to diagnose and treat a wide array of eye diseases. The practice is well equipped with advanced technology including, autorefractor/keratometer, non-contact tonometry, optical coherence tomography, advanced retinal photography, and visual fields. Customers enjoy browsing a large selection of designer eyewear from manufacturers around the world. The Opticians provide personalized attention to help patients find the best fit, look, and functionality for all visual needs—plus, an on-site optical lab conveniently serves patients with customized lenses.

About the Part-Time Optometrist Opening

Maple Lawn Eye Care Center is seeking an Optometrist passionate about providing personalized patient-focused care to ensure excellent eye health and vision care. You’ll perform full-scope optometry, including comprehensive vision examinations, recommend treatment and products to improve vision, recommend lens options and contact lenses for visual needs, and educate patients about their ocular health. The position is part-time, offering 16 to 24 hours weekly.

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. In addition, the ideal candidate will be ambitious, responsible, service-oriented, community-involved, and willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Optometry license in the state of Maryland
