This leader owns revenue generation across digital advertising channels and is accountable for growing ad sales through disciplined execution, strong team leadership, and consistent go-to-market practices. The role is designed for a hands-on commercial operator who builds revenue through people, process, and accountability while protecting long-term brand trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and grow digital advertising revenue with direct accountability for targets, forecasting, and pipeline health.
  • Drive consistent execution across the full sales funnel, from prospecting through close and renewal.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, operating cadence, and accountability across the advertising sales organization.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing digital advertising sales team.
  • Build leadership capability across managers and senior sellers through clear expectations, regular feedback, and development.
  • Create a culture of ownership, rigor, and continuous improvement.
  • Assess team structure and talent over time, scaling thoughtfully as revenue grows.
Go-to-Market Execution
  • Build and refine repeatable sales processes that improve productivity, deal quality, and forecast accuracy.
  • Strengthen segmentation, coverage models, and prioritization across advertiser types.
  • Use data to inform pricing, packaging, and resource allocation decisions.
Products, Programs & Partnerships
  • Sell and scale digital advertising offerings, including sponsor ships and integrated programs.
  • Partner closely with product, marketing, and content teams to ensure offerings are market-ready and easy to sell.
  • Elevate consultative selling capabilities across direct advertiser and agency relationships.
  • Establish disciplined sales operations, including CRM usage, pipeline hygiene, and performance reporting.
  • Evaluate and optimize sales tools and workflows to improve seller effectiveness.
  • Ensure leaders and sellers have clear visibility into performance, priorities, and outcomes.
Market Presence & Growth Opportunities
  • Represent the organization with advertisers, agencies, and external partners.
  • Identify and pursue new advertiser categories and revenue opportunities within digital channels.
  • Bring a practical point of view on advertiser needs and evolving digital buying behavior.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Senior leadership experience driving digital advertising or digital ad sales revenue.
  • Proven ability to build structure, discipline, and consistency in growing sales organizations.
  • Track record of developing sales leaders and building accountable, high-performing teams.
  • Strong go-to-market instincts, including pipeline management, forecasting, and performance management.
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with product, marketing, and content teams.
  • Practical experience with CRM and sales enablement platforms.
  • Clear, credible communicator who can engage executives and frontline sellers.
  • Alignment with mission-driven organizations and long-term brand stewardship.
  • Comfort working in a hybrid environment with in-person collaboration in Baltimore 2–3 days per week.
