Ordnance Electric Support Technician

Salary: $53,575 - $91,225

This position will be supporting Air Platforms Ground Test and Flight Tests efforts performing planning, execution and test efforts to support aircraft and weapons components or armament systems.

• Following specific instructions, assembles or constructs simple or standard equipment or parts, servicing or repairing simple instruments or equipment.
• Conducting a variety of tests using established methods, preparing test specimens, adjusting and operating equipment, recording test data, and pointing out deviations resulting from equipment malfunction or observational errors.
• Extracting engineering data from various prescribed but non-standardized sources, processing the data following well-defined methods including elementary algebra and geometry, and presenting the data in prescribed form.

• Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
• A High School Diploma or GED plus 5 years of experience is required.
• Active Secret Clearance on Day One with the ability to obtain and hold a TS/SAP clearance.
• Aircraft and weapon ordnance knowledge.
• At least one of the following:
• (1) Completion of a technical school, trade school, or advanced armed services technical school curriculum in electricity, electronics, avionics, mechanics, armaments/ordnance, or engineering technology.
• (2) Completion of at least 30 semester hours of course studies at an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical curriculum.
• (3) An associate's degree in Electronics, Electronics Engineering, Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering, Engineering or General Engineering.

• Familiar with NAVAIR technical and NTWL policies and procedures.
• Practical knowledge of electronics/avionics/ordnance.
