Chief Financial Officer - Maryland H&A Recruiter

We are partnering with a multi-location equipment dealership group based in Marylandto find them an experienced CFO.

The Chief Financial Officer will play a critical role in building financial discipline, improving operational efficiency, and supporting long-term scalability across the business.

This is a hands-on executive role for a financially driven leader who enjoys building structure, tightening controls, and partnering closely with executive leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Lead all accounting and finance functions across the organization
  • Manage and develop a team of direct reports, including accounting, AR/AP, HR, IT, and the Controller
  • Establish, improve, and enforce financial processes, controls, and reporting standards
  • Drive expense management, profitability improvement, and process efficiency
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Partner closely with the CEO on strategic initiatives
  • Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting across multiple locations
  • Support operational leaders with data-driven insights and financial guidance

Qualifications
  • Previous executive-level finance leadership experience within a construction or agricultural equipment dealership is highly preferred
  • Proven experience leading accounting teams and cross-functional departments
  • Strong focus on process improvement, financial discipline, and operational efficiency
  • ERP experience within dealer environments (DIS, CDK, Extend, or similar) preferred
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in a transitioning organization
  • CPA not required
