Behavioral Health Technician PRN

Our behavioral health technician role is a direct care position located in Harford County, Maryland, within our Joppa Inpatient program. The program supports clients with substance use disorders, stimulant use, co-occurring disorders, and offers a methadone maintenance program for opioid addiction.

Our Behavioral Health Technician serves in a direct care role with the primary responsibility of interacting with and supervising clients in treatment.

$15/hour before shift differentials.

1st Shift 7:00 am – 3:00 pm, 2nd Shift 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm, 3rd Shift 11:00 pm – 7:00 am, per diem – working as needed with a minimum of 4 times per month.

• 1st Shift: Saturday and Sunday $1.00
• 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday $1.00;
  Saturday and Sunday $1.50
• 3rd Shift: Monday–Friday $1.50;
  Saturday and Sunday $1.50

• Complete the intake process with new clients into the program
• Maintain client documentation
• Observe and document client self‑administration of medication as applicable
• Coordinate client activities
• Follow the objectives of treatment plans and client‑specific needs
• Evaluate the behavioral and emotional needs of clients and provide responses, including crisis intervention
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly physical environment
• Assist with the dietary needs of clients
• Complete all required training
• Other duties as assigned

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Prefer behavioral health experience or general healthcare experience
• Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification preferred
