About the Position

This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at Fort Mead, Maryland.

• Lead proactive, compliant, and effective cyberspace operations (CO) by leveraging CNMF forces and capabilities embedded with mission partners.
• Lead and contribute to the administration of controls, standards and guidance related to the execution of command planning and operations.
• Provide operational‑level technical and functional expertise in support of the development of USCYBERCOM and other Combatant Command (CCMD) support plans.
• Serve as a Cyberspace Capabilities Planner to assure CNMF has the cyber capabilities essential to support CNMF operations.
• Represent the organization during visits with government and industry representatives.
• Develop in conjunction with task force planners and USCBYERCOM staff elements technical capabilities that support USCYBERCOM operational objectives.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
• The employee must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET SCI clearance as a condition of employment and must complete a counterintelligence scope polygraph exam.
• This position has been designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP). Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Army, national security, and public safety.
• Incumbent may be selected for random drug testing and may be subject to reasonable suspicion testing and safety mishap or accident testing.
