The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is seeking a qualified and trained Subject Matter Expert for a role in an engineering support services program for U.S. Army customers at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD. The Subject Matter Expert is responsible for performing the software engineering function, including the design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs for enhancements and new software-intensive systems and products to bring about the successful completion of the CYBERTRON program goals and objectives.
The CYBERTRON program delivers highly skilled engineering services to the U.S. Army C5
ISR Center in their mission of cybersecurity research and development and cryptographic modernization.
- Develop computer software code in a variety of software programming languages.
- Troubleshoot and develop technical solutions related to software and setup errors for field engineers, technicians, and customers.
- Create workaround procedures when standard procedures have failed and ensure issues are resolved in a timely fashion.
- Perform software requirements analysis, hardware compatibility analysis, and develop software products and tools used for design, development and maintenance of infrastructure and platforms.
- Handle task‑specific questions; support may include physical testing, data analysis, interpreting information, preparing recommendations and solutions for specific areas in question; provide leadership and direction to team members working on the same project.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a Secret Clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or electronic engineering with 12+ years of relevant experience.
- Appropriate DoD 8750 certification (Security+ or higher).
- Experience in a variety of software programming languages.
- Experience in a variety of business systems and applications.
- Experience designing, testing, debugging and documenting software.
- Deep knowledge of and ability to apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.
- Eligible for TS / SCI.
- Master's degree in computer science or electronic engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience supporting Army programs.
