This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Second Family, Inc. It is expected that the employee demonstrates behavior consistent with the core values as well as follows all legal requirements in implementing duties according to policies and procedures. The CNA is under the direction of the RN Supervisor and the LPN to provide all aspects of patient care according to individualized client needs including, but not limited to, as well as transporting and accompanying individuals to and from appointments.
Responsibilities- Assist nurses in providing patient care through personal care, which will include personal hygiene assistance, assistance in preparing meals and feeding, and assistance in bathroom.
- Assist in the collection of assessment data and accurately recording data on appropriate form in patient’s chart. The data may include vital signs, height and weight, blood glucose, and the collection of specimens.
- Perform basic nursing tasks and carry out RN and/or LPN directives accurately.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and wholesome work area and environment
- High School Diploma
- Maryland Board of Nursing Certified Nursing Assistant Certification
- First Aid and CPR certified by the American Heart Association
- Maintain valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience working in a group home or relevant experience (Preferred)
- Prior experience with medically fragile children or similar demographics (preferred)
