Oncology Nurse

Kaiser Permanente seeks an Oncology Nurse for our Capitol Hill Medical Office Building. In this ambulatory role, you will deliver specialized oncology nursing care, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration, patient assessment, and symptom management. You will coordinate closely with oncologists, pharmacists, and support staff to provide safe, evidence-based care. Using advanced EHR and clinical systems, you’ll document care, manage treatment workflows, and educate patients and families on treatment plans, side effects, and self-care.

• Provide direct oncology nursing care to ambulatory patients in Capitol Hill medical office building
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive medications per protocols
• Monitor patients for side effects, perform assessments, and intervene promptly
• Coordinate care with oncologists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary team members
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, side effects, and self-care
• Document assessments, treatments, and patient responses in the EHR accurately
• Follow evidence-based oncology nursing standards and infection control procedures
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical best-practice reviews
• Support clinical workflows using oncology and IT systems for scheduling and documentation
• Precept, mentor, and collaborate with team members to enhance patient outcomes
