Overview
The Sales & Customer Engagement Manager is responsible for identifying, sourcing, and securing business across the full end‑to‑end range of products and services that Encore can deliver, with a direct focus on virtual and hybrid event opportunities. The role may focus on a specific sector or region and will take clients through the entire sales process—from outreach and consulting to RFP and close.
The Manager reports to the GSO Sales Leader.
- Business Development
- Proactively pursue new business opportunities and follow up on event leads from marketing, new solution offerings, and industry relations.
- Build customer pursuit plans and conduct end‑to‑end event solution presentations.
- Manage demonstrations of Encore’s approach and solutions.
- Develop relationships with stakeholders in key accounts to target virtual and hybrid events.
- Understand customer needs to create event experiences that align with Encore resources.
- Identify and develop additional event leads via targeted prospecting.
- Manage quotes, proposals, pitches, and RFPs from lead to win.
- Advocate for Encore solutions through speaking, networking, and attending events.
- Event/Account Management
- Oversee the sales process for identified opportunities and account assignments.
- Act as liaison between customer and production teams to ensure conversion and satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance and consistent execution of customer agreements across Encore’s divisions.
- Maintain timely scope and reporting via Compass and Navigator.
- Revenue Management
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue quotas.
- Manage virtual & hybrid event pipeline and evaluate opportunities in other Encore offerings.
- Sales, Operational and Technical Support
- Communicate customer needs internally multiple departments.
- Liaise with resources to convey technical requirements, budgets, and timelines.
- Work closely with internal contacts to realize account objectives and resolve issues.
- Update demos based on platform development.
- Maintain accurate Compass CRM data, billing records, surveys, and other account information.
- Stay current on solutions through regular training and development.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- 3+ years’ experience in sales
- Seasoned sales professional with a hunter mindset
- Ability to generate leads through calling, research, and networking
- Experience shifting focus to virtual and hybrid experiences and adapting to change
- Existing non‑preferred/strategic account relationships preferred
- Experience building relationships and rapport with customers until a need is uncovered
- Team orientation and ability to over‑deliver on desired results
- High‑level customer service and a “yes” approach to solutions
- Experience delivering compelling high‑level presentations
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Experience with a customer‑relationship database
- Strong written and oral communication skills for drafting sales presentations and soliciting business
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- In‑depth understanding of the meetings and event technology industries

Primary work is performed in an office environment, even for remote salespeople who must have a designated office. Working times may include irregular hours, on‑call status, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Employees must adhere to appearance guidelines and maintain a distraction‑free workspace.
Compensation & BenefitsSalary Pay Range: $98,763.00 – $ (base). Compensation is determined by qualifications and includes potential bonuses or incentives.
