Software Engineer, Java Developer

Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer 3 to serve on an agile software team performing feature updates on the system. Responsibilities include updating Java code, performing code reviews, and unit testing updates prior to release of functionality. The candidate should have a strong Java background along with familiarity with Git Lab and source version control.

Established team of developers, tech leads, and a product lead.

• TS/SCI Polygraph
• Twenty (20) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university; four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

• Proficiency with Java
• Proficiency with Node.js, Java script, or Vue.js
• Experience with Git Lab
• Experience with Elastic Search or MariaDB

• Familiarity with Git Lab CI/CD
• Familiarity with Lucene DB
• Experience with Spring Boot
• Familiarity with Kanban agile approach and Git Lab Issue Boards
