Mid Software Engineer

Belay Technologies is seeking a Mid Software Engineer (Tester) to join The ISLANDSUNSET team. The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.

Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

• TS/SCI with polygraph is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in computer engineering or in a field related to the computer engineering or computer science disciplines.
• 5 years of Software Engineering experience.
• An additional 4+ years of Software Engineering experience may be substituted for the degree for a total of 9 years.
• 2 years’ work experience in the SIGINT, IA, or IT domains.

• 5-9 years’ computer/IT professional experience.
• 1+ years’ experience with Elastic stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana).
• 2+ years Python, R, JavaScript, or Perl programming.
• 1+ years UNIX scripting.
• Familiar with web application technologies (e.g., html, JavaScript, web servers, and application servers).
• Proficient in UNIX commands.
• Proficient in Windows.
• Must be able to work in collaborative environment. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and be results-oriented.

• Experience with AWS Cloud
• Experience with ansible or Terraform
• Experience with Jenkins
• Experience with Selenium
• Experience with Docker Experience with Cisco App Dynamics
• Experience with Micro Focus Business Service Management (BSM) tool suite experience:
• Micro Focus Site Scope
• Micro Focus Operations Bridge/Operations Manager I (OMi)
• System administration background.

Salary Range: $70,000 to $190,000
