Job Highlights

This is a full‑time, night‑shift position working three 12‑hour shifts per week with a weekend (every other) and holiday rotation. The hours are 7 pm–7 am. Candidates must have a current Illinois CNA certification and be at least 18 years old to qualify. Eligible for shift and weekend differential and some benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision and Retirement Savings.

Pay Range: $15.63 - $23.45 hourly.

Job Summary

Assists in performing a variety of nursing care services for patients.

Job Responsibilities
  • Receive patient care assignments from the registered nurse (RN) in charge and initiate delegated tasks based on demonstrated competence.
  • Collect and document data for admission assessment and reassessment at specific times, providing the licensed nurse with information for analysis and validation of patient response to care.
  • Relay information via charting and communicate with team members.
  • Inform the licensed nurse of any changes in patient condition, complaints, or educational needs.
  • Answer patient calls for help, take vital signs, and monitor behavior and physical condition for progress or deterioration.
  • Assist with bathing, ambulating, feeding, skin care, personal and oral hygiene, bed making, dressing changes, enemas, ostomy care, toileting, turning, deep breathing exercises, catheter care, and biological specimen collection.
  • Prepare patients for discharge and accompany them upon dismissal as indicated.
  • Stock and maintain supplies and equipment, ensuring cost containment.
  • Assist with delegated clerical duties such as answering telephones, relaying messages, transcribing physician orders, and organizing patient medical records.
  • Orient new patients and significant others to the nursing unit.
  • Operate equipment mechanically and manually as recommended, recognizing problems and initiating corrective action.
  • May perform point‑of‑care testing according to policies and procedures.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
  • Education equivalency for licensing.
Experience
  • No experience required.
Physical Requirements
  • Constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech for oral communication.
  • Frequent listening to body sounds and alarms.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0–25 lbs.
  • Frequent reaching, gripping, and keyboard use/data entry.
  • Frequent visual tasks at near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances, distinguishing colors.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, crawling, kneeling, sitting, squatting, and repetitive movements.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling objects weighing 25–50 lbs.
  • Occasional lifting/moving of patients.
  • Occasional use of olfactory senses to detect odors.
  • Occasional driving.

    • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS HCP) – American Heart Association (AHA)

  • Oklahoma:
