Perform treatment and provide exercise instruction and patient education aimed at improving the patient’s well-being under the supervising Physical Therapist’s plan of care;
Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait, functional activities of daily living, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training;
Observes, records, and reports patient responses to treatment and changes in condition to the supervising PT;
Coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team as appropriate;
Instruct patients, family, caregiver, and other health-care team members in therapy areas within the scope of the physical therapy assistant
