- Less than one year of experience working as an RN
New graduate nurses are invited to participate in the SSM Health Nurse Residency Program to develop confidence, knowledge, and practical skill.
PayHourly: $31.21 – $49.94
Job SummaryLicensed new graduate nurse from an accredited nursing program who actively participates in the SSM Health New Graduate Nurse Residency Program. Provides professional nursing care to patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, coordination, delegation, and monitoring of care. Responsible for delivering age‑appropriate care for patients with a wide variety of medical conditions.
Responsibilities- Performs specialized tasks based on demonstrated competence for the patient population served.
- Conducts comprehensive patient assessments (biophysical, psychosocial, spiritual, cultural) and evaluates nutrition, pain management, and signs/symptoms of abuse or neglect.
- Develops realistic, comprehensive family‑education plans using appropriate resources and methods of instruction.
- Completes accurate and timely documentation, processes physician orders, and monitors delivery of nursing care by team members.
- Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals on all aspects of patient care.
- Completes competency and requirements.
- Applies evidence‑based practice and scientific knowledge to nursing practice, ensuring age‑specific and clinical needs are met.
- Maintains a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, or education equivalency for licensing.
• No experience required.
Physical Requirements- Constant use of speech, standing, walking, lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0–25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, reaching, keyboard use, and visual, auditory, and olfactory use.
- Occasional lifting of patients and objects 25–50 lbs.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping, and repetitive movements. Driving and rare activities such as crawling and running.
- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS HCP) – American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in the state of the work location (Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin). State‑specific requirements: see below.

Night shift. 36 hours per week.
