BJC Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Assistant Manager, ED - Emergency Department located in Mount Vernon, Illinois. The position is ongoing, full-time evenings, with flexible start times and sign-on bonus eligibility. Benefits begin the first of the month after hire.

Preferred Qualifications- BSN
- ED Experience
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree - Nursing - 5–10 years of experience
- Supervisor experience < 2 years
Coordinates patient care, personnel management, maintenance of equipment, and statistical accumulation.
- Manages hires, trains, assigns work, evaluates performance, and develops professional growth plans.
- Ensures productivity aligns with departmental goals set by leadership.
- Supports departmental staffing, revenue, and expense budget development and adherence.
- Performs and approves daily payroll updates, reconciles time cards, tracks bonuses, and codes approvals.
- Prepares and executes staff communications, huddle agendas, and meetings.
- Determines staffing needs, makes nursing assignments, and assigns overtime.
- Recommends annual increases and conducts interviews for open positions.
- Conducts performance evaluations and recommends improvements.

Nursing Diploma/Associate's - Nursing Experience 2–5 years - Supervisor
